Privacy notice

This notice explains how CakeLand handles personal data, in line with Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).

What we collect

When you ask for quotes, we collect what you type into the form: your name, phone number, town and area, and the details of your cake request (occasion, size, date and budget). We also record the date, the page you came from, and the consent wording you agreed to. Reading the site doesn't require any personal details.

Why, and who we share it with

We use your details only to arrange the quotes you asked for. With your consent, we share them with up to three bakers chosen for your request, who may contact you by phone or WhatsApp. We never sell your details or share them for any other purpose.

Where it is stored

The site is hosted by Vercel and quote requests are stored in Google Firebase. Both may process data on servers outside Ghana under their own security and data-protection terms.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests for up to 24 months so we can follow up on introductions, then delete them.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Email hello@cakeland.online. You can also complain to Ghana's Data Protection Commission.
