About CakeLand

Ordering a cake in Ghana usually means scrolling Instagram, sending "how much?" to five bakers and waiting for replies. Most bakers don't publish prices, so it's hard to know whether a quote for a size 8 cake is fair. CakeLand exists to fix that.

Every month we collect the cake prices Ghanaian bakers publish and put them in one price index, by type, size and city, with a link to where we saw each one. We keep a directory of bakers with their own contact details so you can order from them directly, and a size guide so you order the right amount of cake. If you'd rather not call around, we'll ask up to three bakers to quote for you.

We don't bake or sell cakes, and bakers can't pay to change our prices or their place in the directory. Here's how we make money. The cake photos on this site are illustrations we made of each style, not any baker's work.
